# [Plugin: Akismet] blocking javascript when editing posts

 * Hi,
 * Where should I ask for support regarding an issue I experience when I enable 
   the Akismet plugin 3.0.1 within WP 3.8.2? Is the best place here: [http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/akismet](http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/akismet)?
 * Sorry for such a stupid question, but I am not used to request support for WP
   and don’t see a dedicated support forum on Akismet.com (only kind of FAQs). I
   am just wondering where I have higher chances to get answers…

 * Briefly said, all the features of the “Visual Editor” work very fine when I create
   a new post. But as soon as I edit an existing post, most of the features assumed
   to open a floating pane don’t run anymore. Ex.: If I click on “Add Media” or “
   Insert/Edit link”, nothing happens.
    But if I click on “Bold” or “Indent”, this
   is working fine.
 * I did compare the html content of the two pages (“post-new.php” and “post.php?
   post=….&action=edit#”), and the main difference is that “post.php” includes javascripts
   from Akismet.
 * If I disable the plugin, then all features from the “Visual Editor” work again.
   I don’t know how to investigate such an issue. I tried to search for similar 
   issues on Google but I am probably not using the right keywords :/ Ex.: Akismet
   WordPress edit post issue
 * I am using the latest version of the WordPress package provided by Synology. 
   Reason why I am still with version 3.8.2.
    I am using my own theme based on Twenty
   Eleven. That being said, I tried with Twenty Fourteen (with latest update) and
   the problem exists with that one too…

 * I did rollback to Akismet 2.5.9
