# [Plugin: Backup] Authorization failed

 * I followed instructions of what to do to authorise the plugin by using this guide
   [http://www.wpsquare.com/backup-wordpress-blog-google-drive/](http://www.wpsquare.com/backup-wordpress-blog-google-drive/)
   and when I put in the ID and secret and get the “request for permission” screen
   and click “allow access”. But when it returns to the plugin, it says
 * > Authorization failed!
   > Failed to connect to 173.194.78.84: Permission denied
 * Any idea how to fix this?

 * Got is sorted myself! The host had this system where you needed to specifically
   allow IP addresses which can be connected to (for security), I switched this 
   off.
    The weird this is that this security feature only seemed to control https
   connections, since the twitter widget on my site previously only worked when 
   set to use http rather than https (and the connection to google drive is obviously
   https).
