# [Plugin: BackWPup] Cannot authenticate Dropbox account

 * I am logged in to my Dropbox account and am trying to link it to the BackWPUp
   plugin.
 * I’ve used the plugin in this way on other WP sites on the same hosting account,
   however on this one I get the following error message:
 * > Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘DropboxException’ with message ‘OAuthError
   > in API v1+. Request mis-signed: Invalid signature. Expected signature base 
   > string:
 * As well as it ending with:
 * > backwpup_menu_page_header(”) #3 /home/freshjob/public_html/wp-i in /home/freshjob/
   > public_html/wp-content/plugins/backwpup/libs/dropbox.php on line 128
 * I’m not sure whether posting the entire message might be a bad idea for security
   reasons.
 * Has anyone else had this issue? I’ve updated to the latest version of the plugin
   but still with no luck.

 * Just for the record, it’s because I was using a temporary URL e.g.
 * [http://www.maindomain.com/~testsite](http://www.maindomain.com/~testsite)
 * Now I’ve set the website live I am able to authenticate Dropbox
