 * BGMP 1.7 will support using paramters in the [bgmp-map] and [bgmp-list] shortcodes
   to specify categories, center location, zoom levels, etc. I’ve tested it and
   I think that it’s ready for release, but a lot of the code was modified or refactored,
   so I’d like to get some additional testing before releasing it to everyone.
 * If you’d like to try it out, just [download 1.7-rc1](http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/basic-google-maps-placemarks.1.7-rc1.zip)
   and install it. If you notice any problems, give detailed feedback here and then
   downgrade to 1.6.1 until they’re fixed.
 * If you don’t notice any problems, please leave a quick note here so that I know
   it’s working for others.
 * Here are examples of parameters that now work in the shortcodes:
 *     ```
       [bgmp-map categories="parks,restaurants" width="500" height="500" center="chicago" zoom="10" type="terrain"]
       ```
 *     ```
       [bgmp-list categories="record-stores"]
       ```

 * Hi Ian
    Thanks for that work.
 * The center of the categories works fine. But the categorie itself seems having
   forgotten its content and show in many cases all placemarks – not in all! But
   5 of 6 fail.
    The reason may be that I dont understand, what to do with [bgmp-
   list categories=”record-stores”].
 * Its late now and I try to be lucky tomorrow.
 * Cheers

 * Sorry, even after having slept well the mistake still appears.
 * Example.jpg under [Link](https://www.hidrive.strato.com/lnk/C0OHj90i)
 * All the placemarks are shown in the map in 5 of 6 cases, though the Bgmp-list
   with the same “categoty_name” shows only the few members.
 * If you have a guess I’ll try it out.
 * Cheeers

 * Make sure that you’ve got the category slug correct. You can view it on the Categories
   screen under the Placemarks menu. If your category name is “Record Stores” then
   the slug is usually, “record-stores” (with a dash, not an underscore). If that
   doesn’t fix it, can you copy/paste the exact shortcode you’re using, and send
   a screenshot of your Categories page?

 * Hi Ian.
    It detectives work, but I’ve got it. Looking on the page in the HTML-
   code it offers you:
 * `[bgmp-map categories="einkaufen"`` width="630" height="480" center="Heidehang
   4, Essen" zoom="16" type="ROADMAP"]`
    this doesn’t work! `[bgmp-map categories
   ="aerzte-apotheken" ``width="630" height="480" center="Heidehang 8, Essen" zoom
   ="16" type="ROADMAP"]`
 * And just the little difference of the space between “anything” and <nextanything
   > makes it work or not.
 * It simply happened by copy and paste.
 * Having corrected it all everything works fine, thank you.
 * With Greetings
    Ralf
