 * Hide backend fuction broken. Actually bypasses the theme login redirect and sends
   the user to wp main login page. The rest of the plugin is working fine.

 * I forgot to mention how I did it:
 * First type: /wp-login.php?action=register will display the website register page.
 * Now type: /wp-login.php and the wp-login admin page shows.
 * Settings Used:
 * Hide Backend: Enabled
    Login Slug: Login Register Slug: Register Admin Slug:
   oddsecretnameused
 * WP Permalinks: /%postname%/
    WP Admin Folder: .htaccess not created

 * Hi WPS.
 * Have the .htaccess rules been entered into the .htaccess file in the root of
   your website?

 * same issue here.
 * WP latest version, all other functions work fine.
 * Since I just discovered this Plugin, I cannot say if this issue just appeared
   since the last update.

 * Same question for you then TeeKaaaay85, is there a Better WP Security section
   in the .htaccess section in the root of your site?

 * I have the same problem.Bit51 What do you mean if .htaccess rules are into the.
   htaccess file of the website?How can this be done?And are there any conflicts
   from this?

 * yes, the plugin wrote all the code into the htaccess. Any ideas? Do more users
   have the problem or is it unique? Also hide login (which seems to work in the
   same way) is not working.

 * Well, in about 50 sites I maintain and use that feature I haven’t seen an issue
   so I can’t say it’s unique but it is interesting.
 * Can one of you please email me at info [at] bit51 [dot] com so that I may get
   some more information to help troubleshoot?

 * Hi Bit51,
 * Sorry for the late answer. Been down with the flu. Your question – Have the .
   htaccess rules been entered into the .htaccess file in the root of your website?
 * Yes they have.
 * We’re using a vps server and everyting is working fine except the hide backend
   function.
 * Our site is a classified ad website using the Appthemes ClassiPress theme. We
   also use Litespeed web sever plugin for WHM/Cpanel.
 * Is there any reported issues using Better WP Security with AppThemes ClassiPress,
   and or issues with Litespeed server that we missed?
 * Thanks again, WPS.

 * Should there any other option be selected from WP Security, so that enable Hide
   Backend works?

 * `Same question for you then TeeKaaaay85, is there a Better WP Security section
   in the .htaccess section in the root of your site?`
    Do you mean the “Write to
   WordPress core files” selection from Better Wp Security options?Should this be
   selected, so that Hide Backend works?

 * Hi Cos,
 * I’m currently looking to see why it isn’t working for some folks. Yes, “Write
   to … Core Files” must be selected however in some cases it seems that Apache
   isn’t processing the rules at all.

 * As far as my problem it was solved since I checked the option “Write to WordPress
   core file”.Thanks for your support.

 * **Hi Cos22,

    i got the same problem as you with a classified theme. I also
   want to hide the admin section but can’t. Did you recieve any kind of a solution
   for this problem?

 * kamha,
 * Are you letting it write to core files? Can you confirm there is a “Better WP
   Security” section in your .htaccess?

 * do any of the other functions that require .htaccess work? do the permalinks
   work? maybe mod_rewrite is disabled or the server ignores your .htaccess file.
   i have one site where that is the case (probably allowoverride none), and unfortunately
   a number of plugins are not working
