 * When I try to configure booktuner with my Goodreads ID (the six digits that appear
   in my profile URL) I get the following error message: file_get_contents([http://www.goodreads.com/review/list_rss/276463.xml?key=](http://www.goodreads.com/review/list_rss/276463.xml?key=){
   sApiKey}&v=2&shelf=currently_reading&sort=date_read&per_page=&order=d) [function.
file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.1 401
   Unauthorized in [MY DIRECTORY]/wp-content/plugins/booktuner/booktuner.php on
   line 179
 * How can I resolve this?

 * I’m getting the same error message. In my case, when I first installed the plugin,
everything was great. My list of read books appeared in my sidebar as it was
supposed to. Then I came back to my blog later that night and I got the above
error message where my book list should have been. When I refreshed the page,
the error message disappeared but there were no books either. I logged into my
site and went to the settings and hit the save options button and after that
the list came back. But then later that night the error message came back (and
the blank list after refreshing the page). I opened the permissions for both
the xml file and the php file and it’s still doing it. Any help would be appreciated.
   I really like the plugin.

 * This just started happening to me too today – looking into it.

 * Okay, I checked on my development implementation and it was happening to me too.
I had recently changed my password on the Goodreads site – after I went there
and successfully logged in, the error message disappeared. Going into the options
and clicking “save settings” forces the plugin to refresh the data; after that
   the list appeared as normal.
 * It looks like signing in to Goodreads and setting the “keep me logged in” cookie
will fix this behavior for now.
 * I haven’t been able to replicate it by signing back out, but I’ll wait and see
what happens. It would also be helpful to see if, when this is happening to you,
it also happens when other people who are not the Goodreads user visit the site.
I wish I had thought to test that before signing in myself.

 * Scratch the above – I think I found the real bug. If the fix works I’ll have
   the update up this evening.

 * I just wanted to let you know that I installed the update last night and haven’t
had the error message since. Thank you so much for the quick response and for
   making this plugin.

 * I just installed your plugin, 1.1.2, and get exactly the same error message as
mentioned above. I double-checked the permissions. The booktuner folder is 755,
the files inside are set to 644.
 * Anything I can do to be able to try this plugin?

 * Try setting the permissions on the files inside (specifically, the cache xml
file) to the same as the folder – 755.

 * Still the same error after setting the files to 755. My error points to line
   178 in booktuner.php

 * I’m having trouble reproducing this – the lines you’re referring to are pretty
central to the plugin so if there’s something broken there I would expect it
to be happening across the board.
 * You’re absolutely sure you’re using 1.1.2? There was definitely a problem with
this part of the code a month ago that I fixed.
 * Could you also post the full error message you’re receiving? Would you mind describing
what the environment you’re running WordPress in looks like? Things like WordPress
version, plugins, hosting company, PHP version…
 * Did you install the plugin directly or did you update from a previous version?
 * Thanks for your patience!
