I got people calling and telling me that it was breaking the site. The page I have it on was showing code. I ended up having to delete the plugin and reinstall it. Now when I activate the plug-in the site wont load. The wordpress dashboard does, but the site does not, no matter the page. * So I went to delete the plugin again and it says it’s failed to delete (Plugin could not be deleted due to an error: Could not fully remove the plugin(s) business- directory-plugin/business-directory-plugin.php. ). I jump on the FTP and try to delete the folder manually and it refuses to delete. I’m afraid to try and re-install because the last time I was in this position with everything seeming to work normally it broke my site. Do you have a staging site where you can copy the production site over and run tests on it before upgrading the main production site? That would be best at this point. * I have a few questions for you: – What version of BD were you running before upgrade? Was it older than 3.6.8? – What version of WP? – Are you running on shared hosting? * Also, one suggestion is to try a conflict test during the upgrade. I have other sites with the same plug-ins and same theme, on the same server and they’re running fine currently. It may not be totally a BD problem because the folder for the plug-in is gone and its out of my plugins and my site still isn’t coming up, though I can still get to my WP dashboard… I have an email into my host. * I changed the theme and disable all plugins and nothing has fixed it. * Plugin Author [Business Directory Plugin](https://wordpress.org/support/users/businessdirectoryplugin/) * (@businessdirectoryplugin) * [10 years, 7 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-breaking-site-1/#post-6671300) * If BD isn’t active and the site is down, well that’s a pretty good sign that it’s not BD.
