# Plugin “breaks” CSS

 * Suddenly autoptimize, when enabled, won’t render CSS on my site. Been using it
   for months. I’ve made no alterations to the configuration. The only option I’m
   using is ‘Optimize CSS code.’
 * Any idea what might be happening?

 * any plugin or theme update can change the CSS and in some cases CSS optimization
   fails (it can fail completely or partially or minimally, depending on what is
   happening).
 * so answers to these questions might help in identifying the problem;
    * does 
   your site loose all styling, or part of it? * are the autoptimize_xyz.css-files
   returning a “not found”? or are they found but empty? or are they not empty but
   missing styles? * what updates did you do? * can you share a screenshot of the
   site with and without AO?
