 * Hi,
 * Why is it that the plugin broke in what seems to be two places after the recent
   update? Seems to be a lot of people are experiencing this by looking at the threads
   here.
 * Honestly, this is very nearly the best popular posts plugin on WP. Nothing comes
   close when it is working properly.
 * But I noticed on our version, and by piecing together what others have posted
   recently, the last update caused the Post Type selection in the plugin settings
   to be blank and then all the quotation marks for every shortcode we had used
   were then the wrong quotation marks!
 * Re-selecting the post type and re-typing the quotation marks into the shortcodes
   got this everything working again. How on earth did the previously correct quotation
   marks get changed though(!)
 * The problem is, why did this happen? And is this the sort of thing that will
   happen with every update?
 * Many thanks
 * David

 * Hi [@davidhc](https://wordpress.org/support/users/davidhc/),
 * Yes, We have updated the plugin to new version 1.2.3 and in that we have provided‘
   Custom Post Type’ selection. So user can enable only its desired post type and
   no other unnecessary data will be stored.
 * This thing we have mentioned in our change log with other updates but some people
   miss it to read

 * After updating the plugin you just need to tick your desired post type in plugin
   setting and pass it to shortcode. That’s it.
 * Sorry for the inconvenience but it is the necessary update in the plugin for
   better use.
 * Please let me know after updating plugin settings, functionality start again.
 * For your query about the ‘quotation’, I don’t know about this because I have
   never faced this type of issue. This only happens when we copy the shortcode
   from somewhere and paste it to WordPress editor so the quotes are converted to
   special characters. You can paste shortcode directly to ‘Text’ tab of WordPress
   or first paste it in to notepad then copy it and paste it to editor.
 * Please let me know your thoughts.
 * Thanks,
