 * Hello,
 * I just installed your plugin on one of our client’s websites, and immediately
   ran into stability problems.
 * Our client has an extremely fully featured website, running many other plugins.
   We’ve never seen any kind of conflict up until now.
 * When I installed the plugin, it seemed to cause an instability in the WordPress
   admin. What was happening was that many admin pages would redirect to the front-
   end website with a 404 error. Sometimes this occurred when just clicking on an
   admin menu, and other times when trying to save something in the admin.
 * I did a lot of testing to confirm the calendar plugin was the cause. For some
   reason it is just unstable in our client’s admin. I should also mention that
   they have the latest version of WP and all of their plugins.
 * This is unfortunate, as your plugin is exactly what we need for this client.
   Now I must look for an alternative.

 * Can you tell me how you determined that? Did you go through this doc? [http://docs.simplecalendar.io/troubleshooting-theme-plugin-widget-conflicts/](http://docs.simplecalendar.io/troubleshooting-theme-plugin-widget-conflicts/)

 * Hi Nick,
 * It was very easy to determine. The moment the plugin was installed the entire
   admin became unstable. There were no problems of this kind before that.
 * I was able to reproduce the problem over and over again with the calendar plugin
   installed and activated. As soon as I deactivated it the problems in the admin
   disappeared. It was clearly the cause.
 * This is obviously some kind of conflict, but I am working on paid hours and cannot
   take the time to start figuring out what other component is involved. If you
   like I can provide a list of their installed plugins though.
 * I’m really frustrated right now because the client approved the use of your specific
   plugin, and there doesn’t seem to be many quality alternatives out there.
 * This was supposed to be a fast and simple job, and I only had a few hours to
   complete it.

 * Hi Nick,
 * Do any of the plugins I listed above stand out to you as potential conflicts?
 * I’m afraid I will have to source a different plugin if I can’t get this one to
   work quickly. We simply can’t start deactivating all of the plugins or switching
   themes just for testing purposes. It’s simply too risky and disruptive to the
   client’s website.
 * I really do want to get this working as it was the best solution. But looking
   for the source of a conflict is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

 * You could try refreshing the permalinks to see if that maybe helps.
 * The biggest thing here though would be the need to check if there is a conflict
   with another plugin. There is not much we will be able to explore if that isn’t
   done. The reason is because one of the other plugins could be where the issue
   is coming from and not necessarily coming from our side. So we would need to
   isolate that if it’s the case to even know what is going on.

 * Hi Nick,
 * I appreciate your fast responses…
 * I’m going to give this one more try, to see if I can determine the source of
   the conflict. I’m hoping it’s a plugin. She only has 14 of them, so it shouldn’t
   take too long to test this.
 * If it is a plugin, I may need your help to resolve the issue. We can work together
   on that.
 * The problem manifested itself as 404 errors in the admin, when clicking on just
   about anything. About 50% of the clicks resulted in a 404.
 * Do you really think the permalinks are involved?
 * I’ll get back to you on this later, or over the weekend.

 * Hi Nick,
 * I actually was never able to solve this conflict. I did further testing and could
   not resolve the problem. I tried updating all software, including WordPress and
   all plugins, and the problem still remained.
 * We ended up going with another Google Calendar plugin, which was similar to yours
   but didn’t have any conflicts. I simply did not have the time to do further testing,
   as it was on paid hours.
 * All my best,
 * ~ Michael
