 * Hi, we were contacted by our client’s hoster about them having to temporarily
   shut down our client’s website due to something in the wordpress installation
   causing a server overload.
    After trying to narrow down the problem, it seems
   the overload is caused by the WP Store Locator plugin. Logs are pointing towards
   excessive hits on the wp-cron and admin-ajax.phps. We’ve deactivated the plugin,
   which fixed the server load, but of course we would like to continue using the
   plugin.
 * Is there any way you could help us?
 * Thanks!

 * Hi!
 * I’m sorry you are having trouble with wp store locator. Actually this is, as
   far as I can remember, the first time an issue like this has been reported. The
   plugin itself is quite efficient and it hasn’t cause performance issues in the
   past. So let me know more info about your installation.. is it a website with
   huge amounts of traffic?
 * As you probably know, the admin-ajax.php file contains all the code for routing
   AJAX requests on WordPress. Its primary purpose is to establish a connection
   between the client and the server using AJAX, and it is used by many plugins.
 * If you have narrowed down the issue and the server overload disappears when disabling
   wp store locator, then it would be very useful if you could provide us with some
   of the logs, or with a sample of the requests that are made to admin-ajax.php
   on behalf of wp store locator.
 * You can share the details here or, if you’d prefer some privacy, you can also
   open a [support ticket](https://wpstorelocator.co/support/) with us.
 * Looking forward to hearing from you,
