 * how do I use custom slides as the slideshow instead of posts/pages?
 * I want to show a slider with lightbox for full images and also thumbnail gallery
underneath or to the side – is this possible?

 * As for galleries, NextGen is not supported but you can always use the `[slideshow
   post_id=XXX ]` shortcode to display a given post/page gallery.
 * Custom slides are defined in the “Manage Slides” admin page, then they are shown
through the `[slideshow custom=1]` shortcode (as specified by the FAQ), but at
the moment the custom slide link won’t open in a lightbox. If you absolutely
need it, try by adding the class `$imgbox` at line 331 and 333 as it has been
done at line 273 and 275.
 * Thumbnails can be enabled in the “Configuration” pane, style and position will
   change according to your CSS.
 * I hope you’re going to enjoy this plugin.

 * Thanks for the reply, how can I put the Combo Slideshow into a widget area?
 * I tried the shortcode [slideshow custom=1] and it says gallery not found

 * is there a conflict with multisite perhaps? I am trying to use this on the root
   domain though?

 * As far as I know, the plugin is working in multisite mode, but shortcodes are
not supported in widget areas by default.
    You should better manually insert
the PHP code in your widget template files. However, give a look at [http://digwp.com/2010/03/shortcodes-in-widgets/](http://digwp.com/2010/03/shortcodes-in-widgets/)
