 * I have been using your plugin for a while now, but it recently appears that it
   is no longer compatible with my website. When the plugin is active, it is impossible
   to proceed to checkout (the payment button does not appear). However, when I
   deactivate the plugin, everything returns to normal and I am able to proceed
   to payment (the payment button appears).
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fplugin-compability-2%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * Hi [@aurelievdbb](https://wordpress.org/support/users/aurelievdbb/),
 * Could you please let me know the WooCommerce and WordPress versions you’re using,
   as well as my plugin version? Additionally, it would be helpful if you could
   share which theme is active on your site. Do you have a staging site where I
   can replicate and investigate the issue further?

 * Please do not ask for any access for user’s sites. Including staging and archive
   data dumps.
 *     ```wp-block-code
       While I know you have the best of intentions, it's forum policy that you not ask users for admin or server access. Users on the forums aren't your customers, they're your open source collaborators, and requesting that kind of access can put you and them at high risk.

       If they are paying customers (such as people who bought a premium service/product from you) then by all means, direct them to your official customer support system. But in all other cases, you need to help them here on the forums.

       Thankfully are other ways to get information you need:

       Ask the user to install the Health Check plugin and get the data that way.
       Ask for a link to the http://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com log of the user's web server error log.
       Ask the user to create and post a link to their phpinfo(); output.
       Walk the user through enabling WP_DEBUG and how to log that output to a file and how to share that file.
       Walk the user through basic troubleshooting steps such and disabling all other plugins, clear their cache and cookies and try again (the Health Check plugin can do this without impacting any site vistors).
       Ask the user for the step-by-step directions on how they can reproduce the problem.

       You get the idea.

       We know volunteer support is not easy, and this guideline can feel needlessly restrictive. It's actually there to protect you as much as end users. Should their site be hacked or have any issues after you accessed it, you could be held legally liable for damages. In addition, it's difficult for end users to know the difference between helpful developers and people with malicious intentions. Because of that, we rely on plugin developers and long-standing volunteers (like you) to help us and uphold this particular guideline.

       When you help users here and in public, you also help the next person with the same problem. They'll be able to read the debugging and solution and educate themselves. That's how we get the next generation of developers.
       ```
 * [@bhavikkiri](https://wordpress.org/support/users/bhavikkiri/) access to backend
   of ANY type of user site (staging/test/production) is forum guidelines violation.
 * Hi [@bhavikkiri](https://wordpress.org/support/users/bhavikkiri/),
 * My site theme is Salient.
 * Thanks for sharing the WP version. Could you also confirm the WooCommerce version
   and my plugin version? Just to clarify, when my plugin is activated, the ‘Place
   Order’ button does not function as expected on the checkout page—please correct
   me if I’m wrong.
 * If I’ve misunderstood, kindly share a screenshot of the issue to help me analyze
   it better. Since the theme is a paid one, could you check if the issue persists
   when using the Storefront theme?
 * Hi [@bhavikkiri](https://wordpress.org/support/users/bhavikkiri/),
   The WooCommerce
   Version is **Version 9.9.4**. Correct, when your plugin is activated, the checkout
   button immediately disappear. Please refer to the pictures.
    1. When I am redirected to the checkout page (with your plugin active), the button
       briefly appears but immediately disappears once the page is fully loaded. [https://snipboard.io/ZqiTpE.jpg](https://snipboard.io/ZqiTpE.jpg)
    2. This is how the page looks with your plugin active. [https://snipboard.io/JMOjbx.jpg](https://snipboard.io/JMOjbx.jpg)
    3. This is the checkout page when your plugin is inactive. [https://snipboard.io/BV6d1F.jpg](https://snipboard.io/BV6d1F.jpg)
 * Please let me know if you require further information. I appreciate your help.
 * Hi [@aurelievdbb](https://wordpress.org/support/users/aurelievdbb/) ,
 * Thank you for sharing the screenshots and the WooCommerce version number.
 * Since I haven’t made any recent updates to my plugin and the default functionality
   was working earlier but has now suddenly stopped, I recommend testing the same
   functionality using a default theme like _Storefront_.
 * If the issue still persists with the default theme, please let me know.
 * However, if the issue does **not** occur with the default theme, I would suggest
   reaching out to the theme author, as there have been no changes to my plugin
   recently.
