 * The documentation is limited, to say the least.
    FAQ is a joke I presume?
 * But seriously, it would be helpful to know exactly what it does and why some
   people cant get it to work. It could very well be on my end, but without some
   sort of guide, I can´t tell.

 * Hi,
 * I’m the creator of Compression WP.
 * Basically what the plugin does is it enables GZIP compression on your website
   which compresses the data before it is sent to the web browser, which should
   minimise the amount of data transferred.
 * If you use [http://www.whatsmyip.org/http_compression/](http://www.whatsmyip.org/http_compression/),
   you should see that the file size of your page is significantly smaller. When
   I used this tool on my test site, there was a data saving of around 71%.
 * Thanks!

 * Hi!
 * Thanks for reply!
 * I’m going to be ironic and a bit harsh here, which is not easily done in writing,
   hence the heads-up. =)
 * So, what it does is to enter ‘<? ob_start(“ob_gzhandler”); ?>’ in index.php,
   and only in index.php?
    Much like the guide at the very page you recommend.
 * 71% is a lot if I would be serving index.php, all by itself. When everything
   else is served the saving (for me) is around 2 %.
 * Anyway/seriously/so, it would be good if it entered the code above in all pages
   that would allow it, or at least notify the clients of what it does and/or does
   not do.
 * Thanks again, and no offense I hope..
 * /andreas
