 * Hi! I am having issues with this plugin and the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin. As
   soon as the yoast plugin is activated, the retina plugin doesn’t generate the
   proper image code.
 * JUST RETINA 2x Plugin Active

   2x”>
 * BOTH RETINA 2x & YOAST SEO Plugins Active

 * I am not proficient enough in WordPress to figure out where the conflict is?
   Has anyone experience this same conflict and have a resolution?
 * Thanks!
    Adrian

 * Hello,
 * I don’t use Yoast so I am not sure what it does and how. I feel like it might
   be rewriting the HTML and that’s something the Retina plugin does (except with
   the Retina.js method). Can you ask Yoast if he/they do HTML rewriting?
 * Maybe they know and they already have a solution. There is nothing much I can
   do on my side unfortunately if the HTML process is overriden 🙁

 * Thank you for the response. The plugin is awesome btw!
 * Your reply triggered a possible solution that I wouldn’t have thought of otherwise.

   Under the “Titles & Meta” section of the WordPress SEO plugin an option exists
   for Force rewrite titles. Mine was checked. However, unchecking this option both
   plugins work.
 * Thanks!

 * Same issue for me here. And unchecking “Force rewrite” didn’t solve anything…
   When I made the update with WP Retina 2x all the titles got messed up.
 * Now even when i deactivate plugin or delete it same issue. What should I do?
 * Thanks

 * Splicho83, the plugin doesn’t modify the posts in the database, it only does
   it “on the fly”. That means that the plugin cannot destroy your WordPress, if
   you disable it, then everything will be back to normal. There is something else
   happening on your install.
 * Anyway, I don’t know which titles you are talking about, the plugin doesn’t change
   them, it has nothing to do with that, its job is to make your image retina and
   that only.
 * You said you have the same issue but I invite you to read the original issue
   again and you will realize it has nothing to do with that.

 * I had the same issue. Suddenly my featured images were not displays or only for
   a splitsecond. I ACTIVATE the “Force rewrite”-Option in the “Titles & Meta” section
   of the WordPress SEO plugin and suddenly all featured images are back. Strange…

 * The-Dude, yes, this issue is in the FAQ. Unfortunately there is nothing I can
   do it on my side. My plugin modifies the HTML on the fly, then the WP SEO plugin
   does it to right after me. Of course I can change my code to be the “last” to
   modify the HTML but that would be like fighting with another plugin, that doesn’t
   resolve the issue.

 * After several hours of hunting, I found the same problem. Force rewrite in Yoast
   SEO. Could be awesome if WP Retina had the last word 🙂

 * It could, I believe if you change the name of the plugin it might take over the
   other one hahaha 🙂 Or by changing the priority in the plugins hooks. I don’t
   want to start this game however, I actually would prefer if Yoast would fine
   a solution for it.

 * Another user encountered the same issue recently, so there is still a problem
   with Yoast plugin. Did you get an update from him miltersen?
