Plugin conflict and spinning icon

    Hi,

    I am using OceanWP theme and just installed Custom Sidebars.

    When trying to edit any sidebar, I get a spinning icon in the lightbox and nothing happens. Can’t edit anything.

    I tried to find the source of the issue and found out that when I disable the “Ocean Extra” plugin, which is part of the OceanWP paid theme, everything works as expected.

    Is there any fix for this conflict? I can’t use the theme without the extras because these are essential to control the page layouts and settings.

    So who should I turn to for a solution, the theme creator or the plugin creator?

    Hope you’re doing well!

    Sorry to hear you have this issue!

    I am afraid, this forum is dedicated to free plugins and the OceanWP theme is a paid theme, so we do not have access to it.

    The Custom Sidebars plugin should work with all themes developed by WordPress standards. Please contact the themes developers about this issue so they could have a closer look at it.

    Please let us know are you using the same theme as @mhason does? If yes, please follow the above instructions. If it is a different theme, please open new thread in support forums. Before posting it, please run a quick check for a conflict with another plugin, leave only Custom Sidebars active and see if the issue still persists, if all is well, activate one plugin at the time till you will find the plugin that causes a conflict.

    Unfortunately, that’s exactly what I did as well.

    I removed the plugin and installed a different one.

    And I am a paying customer of WPMU Dev…
