You see, Google Maps sets marketing cookies, so to be able to use Google Maps, consent is required. * If the map is essential for the service your website is meant to provide, you can assign the “necessary” category to the cookie this script sets in the [manager](http://manage.cookiebot.com/goto/cookies). This will allow the script to run without prior consent. * If the map is not essential, I would recommend using [placeholders](https://support.cookiebot.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003812053-Hide-and-show-content-based-on-the-visitor-s-consent). This will make the site look normal, and you have a second chance to get consent to marketing cookies.
