[Plugin: Custom Content Type Manager] Feature request: Limit post type editing to user's role
-
Hi
I’d like to make a suggestion for a new feature which, I think, would make an already indispensable plugin even more awesome!
I would like to be able to limit a user’s access to a custom post’s editing features by their roles and capabilities.
For example, I have 2 post types, exhibitor and press_release, and two user roles (created with another plugin), exhibitor and pragent. I would like to be able to make the post type of exhibitor editable by admin, editor and exhibitor, but not pragent; and likewise the post type of press_release editable by admin, editor and pragent, but not exhibitor.
Sure, there is a plugin that will give me such, but it’s clunky, and I do subscribe to the belief that one should have as few plugins as possible. It seems to me that such functionality would be a logical extension to CCTM.
Thanks for listening
peter
