# [Plugin: Custom Permalinks] Doesn't work with Duplicate Post plugin

 * When I copy a post using the duplicate post plugin, the custom permalink plugin
   creates a redirect from the url of the post I copying to the url of the new post,
   essentially removing the old post from my site.
 * Are these plugins incompatible? I believe the problem stems from this plugin 
   taking over the default wordpress permalink field.
 * I also don’t like how it removes the default wordpress feature of automatically
   filling in the name of the url based on the post title.
 * I only need this plugin to remove the slug from subpages. Any other options? 
   I use the duplicate post plugin daily.
