# [Plugin: dbview] Shortcode in widget?

 * Thank you for your great plugin!
 * The shortcode works excellent when I add it to a post or page. I would also like
   to add it to the sidebar using a widget. When I add the shortcode to a text widget,
   the shortcode is not executed (I just see the shortcode itself).
    Is there any
   way dbview performing queries for the sidebar, using a widget?

 * I discovered that only adding the following line to the functions.php is doing
   the job
    `add_filter('widget_text', 'do_shortcode');`
