plugin description not updating

i uploaded a new version of my plugin imagements and saw that there was a fault in the readme file. so i changed that and uploaded a new version of the readme file. the readme validator says its a correct readme and under reviews the right readme file is presented, it also lists my change in the rss. however the description on the frontpage of the plugin page is not updated. normally this is done within minutes after i have uploaded something. its quite some time now since i uploaded the change but nothing happened. am i doing something wrong or is there a problem with the wordpress plugin updater?
