# Plugin-Directory Versionnumber Problem?

 * Hi,
 * I deployed a version 1.0.1 to the plugin directory but “Download Version” remains
   1.0.0 although the link is correct and points to version 1.0.1
    Also, the version
   1.0.1 appears under “Compatibility + plugin”
 * The question is, are the user being informed about the new version 1.0.1?
 * Have a look at [wp-banner](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/) to see what 
   I mean.
 * In my stats appears a version 1.0 although I never deployed a version 1.0
 * Is there a bug?

 * so I think it might be getting the correct download, but only showing as it being
   version 1.0.0

 * ok, you are right.
    I thought only the `readme.txt` is evaluated
