After I updated the Elements kit plugin it uninstalled on its own, taking with it all the work: Mega Menu, icons etc. And when I try to install it again thinking I accidentally uninstalled it, it says Installation failed: Destination folder already exists. Apparently, it is not my sticky fingers.

Ps. I have limited knowledge about coding, please help?

  • Hi @victoria1t ,

This is very unusual issue and we have never received this type complaint so far. After updating the plugin the plugin should work as expected and shouldn’t deactivate itself.

But for now to solve the issue, you can follow this article to deactivate ElementsKit from your plugin dashboard.

Then install ElementsKit again from your plugin dashboard and hopefully your problem will be solved. Don’t worry about your data and settings. It will be remain saved on your database.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply and instructions, the problem is now fixed.
It was not ElementsKit but my new cache/minify plugin that scrambled all my CSS. After contacting my hosting and getting ElementsKit and the other plugin deleted, it is back to normal.

Thanks for the amazing plugin and have a great day!
