# Plugin does not activate when entering the API key

 * Hi,
 * I have signed up for a Clickmeter account. When I enter the API key into the 
   WordPress admin area and click Save API key, the page refreshes but nothing has
   changed – it still says “Clickmeter’s plugin is almost ready. Click on the button
   to activate the plugin!” up the top and prompts to save the API key.
 * The website is a multisite and I am trying to activate the plugin on one of the
   sites.

 * Update: the site is a multisite install. I can activate Clickmeter with the API
   from the first site in the network, but not from any others.
 * i.e. it’s possible to activate the plugin on the site that powers [http://www.greatsite.com](http://www.greatsite.com)
   but not a site that powers [http://www.greatsite.com/subsite/](http://www.greatsite.com/subsite/)
 * Any comments on using this on a multisite setup (with sites in subfolders, not
   subdomains)?

 * Sorry for the inconvenience but our plugin is not working properly in a multisite
   install.
    We are working to fix it as soon as possible.
