# Plugin does not appear unless user is super admin

 * The website runs on WP VIP (Version PHP:8.0 & WordPress:6.2.1)
    1. When viewing WP dashboard, the plugin only appears on the menu for users with
       the ‘super admin’ role. Regular admin and any other role cannot see the plugin
       on the menu. How can this be changed so any user can see the plugin?
    2. Super admin can use the plugin to make a web story when accessing from the dashboard
       menu. But when editing inside a post/page, the plugin does not appear in the
       block menu. It can be added via code editor, but there’s no way to access from
       the block menu. I’d like to be able to add Web Stories directly inside a page
       without having to go back to the plugin dashboard and manually add it using
       the code editor.

 * Hello [@webdevfmbc](https://wordpress.org/support/users/webdevfmbc/), we’ll be
   happy to check on this. Does the user role issue or block issue occur with all
   other plugins disabled and when using a default WordPress? To safely simulate
   this I recommend using the [Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check).
   This way you can simulate using your site with individual/all plugins disabled,
   to narrow down the culprit.
 * Please let me know how this goes.

 * Yes, the issue persists even after trying that. We have a large site with multiple
   users who are all experiencing this issue since they’re not super admin role.
   We need them to be able to properly use/access this plugin. Please let me know
   if there’s something else I can try to fix this!

 * If you could provide what information you can from your [Site Health](https://i.imgur.com/Rtkmsba.png)
   info privately through [this form](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd-AeFLOIJd4NLYz7EDUa9vMfzZIoT5Bn1leV3dL2CM_B1C6Q/viewform)
   that would be great. I will try to reproduce it on my end with a similar setup.

 * Hello, [@luckynasan](https://wordpress.org/support/users/luckynasan/) are there

 * [@webdevfmbc](https://wordpress.org/support/users/webdevfmbc/) Unfortunately,
   I am not able to reproduce this issue. What is the WordPress user role for these
   users (e.g. subscribers, editor, author, contributor)?
 * To confirm, the issue you are having is that the Web Stories block is not showing
   up in the left menu when inside a post/page, correct? This is an issue with your
   theme. I suggest checking if switching to a default WordPress theme makes a difference
   when trying to access the Web Stories block.

 * [@luckynasan](https://wordpress.org/support/users/luckynasan/)
 * Only users with ‘super admin’ role can see the plugin. All other users that are
   not a ‘super admin’ role cannot see the plugin.
 * The issue is that when editing inside a post/page, the plugin does not appear
   in the menu where you select blocks or other elements to add to the page.
 * We are using WP VIP with a custom theme, it is not possible to switch to a default
   WP theme.

 * This sounds like you are using another plugin to define what capabilities a role
   should have. I suggest reaching out to that plugin to report this issue with
   not being able to access the Web Stories plugin.
