 * Hi,
 * Having problems with your plugin – I can see that the mobile page & normal home
   page are different and are looking as expected when editing, although after trying
   on 4 mobile devices (cached, uncached and incognito) there is no difference.
   The page on mobile still keeps loading the original homepage, any ideas?
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fplugin-doesnt-do-anything-5%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * Hi [@michaeleasycount](https://wordpress.org/support/users/michaeleasycount/)
 * can you share the URL of the page?
 * Can you do a test on a different page and see if it works?
 * Is the homepage a static page or the page that shows the last blog posts?

 * Hi Jose,
 * Thanks a lot for the fast response!
 * The URL is below;
 * Homepage – godigitally.io
 * I’ve tested two pages and I’m experiencing the same outcome.
 * The homepage is a static page, no content changes.

 * Hi [@michaeleasycount](https://wordpress.org/support/users/michaeleasycount/)
 * you are welcome!
 * Inspecting your page (F12 or right-click => Inspect Elements) I see that on desktop
   the page ID is 8143. On mobile, I see the ID is 20807.
    I also see a difference
   in the footer, on desktop you have AppStore and GooglePlay, on mobile you don’t
   have it. But I don’t know what differences you expect to see.
 * To simplify the problem solving, can you please create a testing page just with
   the text “This is desktop”, and then the related mobile version with the text“
   This is mobile” and share the URL?
 * I would like first to confirm we see the same things using a very simple content.

 * Morning Jose,
 * You’re actually spot on, it’s working now – perhaps it was to do with some sort
   of caching on my end?
 * I think it was to do with the page actually not looking as the same styling expected–
   if you check the below, you’d see what I expect vs what I get:
 * **Expected:**
    [https://gyazo.com/0463cc1fe6d048a6a2e146fa10258923](https://gyazo.com/0463cc1fe6d048a6a2e146fa10258923)
 * **Result:**
    [https://gyazo.com/df4acd135437fd05395ecf9228233e38](https://gyazo.com/df4acd135437fd05395ecf9228233e38)
 * Do you have any idea what may cause this Jose?

 * Hi [@michaeleasycount](https://wordpress.org/support/users/michaeleasycount/)
 * it looks like when you edit the page the available screen width for the page
   content is lower than when you see the page with your device.
 * The content output depends on
    – the content itself as it is sent from the server
   to the browser – how the browser shows that content, taking into account the
   CSS style rules and the viewport.
 * Specific Content For Mobile gives you the possibility to work only on the first
   point.
    If you want to change content for mobile, you create the mobile version
   and change the content. Then how it is displayed on mobile devices depends on
   CSS.
 * From “DigiTally makes life easier” and below, the content of the two pictures
   are the same, it’s only different how they are displayed, probably due to the
   different available screen. Probably the block before “DigiTally makes life easier”
   is not included in the picture or it’s hidden by the CSS for narrower viewports.

   It looks the plugin is giving you on mobile the content you asked.
 * This plugin is to have different content on mobile, not for changing layout or
   style with the same content.
    If for example on mobile you want the block “How
   Our Inventory Management System Works” before the block “DigiTally Makes Life
   Easier”, then this plugin is helpful. Or if e.g. you want to remove a block,
   or an image, instead of simply hide it, you can do it. These are all operation
   that you can’t do with simple CSS. To change the layout or style, you don’t need
   this plugin, but responsive design with CSS.
