 * loved the plug in, but had a vulnerability last night. Had thousands of hits 
   from the same domain. I uninstalled ecstatic.

 * If you need to process thousands of hits in short order, then ecSTATic may not
   be the tool you need.
 * The code you reference is called with every hit, but there’s no way to avoid 
   that, because it is the heart of the plugin.
 * On the other hand, if you get the error on every hit (or more often) I’d like
   to know about it.
