 * Hello …
 * Where do I find the documentation to work with existing content.
 * By that I mean, I have an existing post, I need to make a change and have it
   approved before I can publish it. If I change the status to “draft” it disappears
   from the website.
 * Thanks
 * Mike

 * Hey there,
    Edit Flow doesn’t actually allow you to work with already published
   content. Once you publish it it’s live, and if you change the status to something
   other than published it will no longer be. You might want to check out a plugin
   called [Revisionary](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/revisionary) to modify
   already published content.

 * I think Edit Flow adds a lot of great functionality to WordPress but I also think
   it would be even better if it could do “Pending reviews” to already published
   content.
 * Keep up the good work!
 * Revisionary isn’t cutting it for me. Bad custom post type support, no previews
   of changes and their edit views often remove extra admin boxes for custom fields
   and other tings.

 * Seth, What exactly was your issue with Custom Post Type support in Revisionary?
 * Revisionary does support previews of Pending and Scheduled revisions, just not
   from the edit form before you have saved the revision. It’s a technical hurdle
   I may or may not overcome in the future. If your revision previewing problems
   were with WP 3.2, the updated dev code has some fixes for that.
 * Suppression of edit form UI for non-revisionable items is intentional. I delved
   into Custom Fields revisioning for a client, but the WP plugin API doesn’t really
   support that type of filtering. At this point it’s a new adventure with each
   WP iteration, so I’d be foolish to voluntarily support it for thousands of discriminating
   users such as yourself.

 * Just stumbled across this thread again by chance.
 * Don’t get me wrong Kevin, I LOVE Revisionary. I’ve just ran into some issues,
   specifically with changes to custom fields being dropped. Right now my users
   have to email me changes to custom fields because I need to approve what they
   change before it goes online, but they can’t submit changes to custom fields
   without them being dropped.
 * I understand the amount of support and issues that must go into a plugin of your
   size and user base, so I’m very thankful for your work!
