# Plugin error

 * I am new to WordPress and I keep getting a error when I am trying to get new 
   plugins. I was able to get them the other day but now I can I keep getting this
   error
 * An Unexpected HTTP Error occurred during the API request.
 * Can anyone help me.

 * Okay, I’ve noticed that depending on your firewall settings this could be an 
   issue. Also, it would help to know if you are uploading a plugin after having
   download it or are you trying to download it directly form WP and install it?
 * On my local PC that never work (firewall I think). On hosted services it works
   like a charm.

 * I think I figured it out.
 * I kept getting the error after installing WordPress and leaving the default email
   as is. Once I changed the default email (in set-up) to my hotmail account everything
   started working again.
