# Plugin Error- Cannot Add Plugins within WP dashboard

 * I am trying to add Plugins from within the dashboard rather than having to FTP
   them but I keep getting an error message.
 * Here is the message:
 * “Downloading install package from [http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/subscribe-to-comments.zip](http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/subscribe-to-comments.zip).
 * Unpacking the package.
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end, expecting ‘]’ in /home/MyUsername/
   public_html/MyDomainName.com/wp-admin/includes/class-pclzip.php on line 4247″
 * I get the message no matter which plugin I try uploading.
 * Will that message come up if a plugin has not been tested with the most current
   version of WP or what else could it be?
 * Any ideas or thoughts I would greatly appreciate it.

 * Try re-uploading the wp-admin folder from a **fresh** download of WordPress.
