# Plugin error has me confused

 * I’ve downloaded two plug ins now, extracted them and moved them into my wpcontent
   folder in Filezilla. But when I got to upload the.zip in WP it fails because “
   the path already exists”. But it doesn’t. What’s happening?
 * I have tried changing permission to 777.
 * Please help

 * if you have extracted them and moved them to /wp-content/plugins, the path does
   exist – in fact, the plugin is installed and you don’t need to upload the zip
   file thru wordpress – just activate the plugin.

 * hi samboll, thanks for coming back to me. The plugin doesn’t appear in my plugin
   folder though.

 * then where would they be if you extracted them where you said? You need to find
   them :>)
