 * Has anyone gotten this plugin to work with WordPress 2.5 or 2.6? I’d love to 
   find a solution.

 * Agreed. If this plug-in is inactive, is there another which turns regular posts
   into future events?
 * All of the other events calendar solutions seem to segregate events into separate
   tables.

 * I am with imsoper and jcollier on this. I’d LOVE a hack!
 * The ‘upcoming events’ widget still works… and the calendar displays correctly…
   the only thing preventing [this plugin](http://wpcal.firetree.net/) from working
   with 2.6 is that on clicking a calendar date, the event-posts for that date are
   not displayed in the main index.

 * when i try this plugin out on wordpress 2.6, i click the “event” category and
   i’m expecting more options to pop up like the instructions say, but nothing happens.
 * this is the type of plugin i’m looking for to make a simple event listings website
   that does jcollier mentions where it doesn’t split them into a separate table.
