 * I’d like to ask you if it’s possible to call a database that is located on another
   hosting server. Since I want my WP,which is located on a **common hosting server**,
   to access **cloud server** where a database of my customers are stored there.
 * I’ve tried to input several values in the Host label at the setting page but
   it seems doesn’t work properly. Do you have any suggestion?
 * eg. I’ve input mydoamin.com in the Host label and the server returned this to
   me
 * > Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Unknown MySQL server host‘
   > www.mydomain.com’ (1) in /home/www/virtual/myWordpressdomain.com/wp/htdocs/
   > wp-content/plugins/external-database-authentication/ext_db_auth.php on line
   > 282
 * Thanks in advance 🙂

 * hi cursefake, i’ve made this worked after a couple of days figuring out, it is
   possible as far as ive tested external db plugin, the only differnce is that
   i’ve tested this locally, but i think the logic is almost the same if you are
   trying this on the web, just be sure that you are entering the exact value for
   each fields as needed.
    External Database setting shown in the screenshots are
   the credentials of the external database remote server you want to access.

 * Thank you dekzgimutao
 * Yes, it did a perfect job when both of your database are at the same server (
   I guess from your comment up there, sorry if I misunderstand about that), I also
   test that plugin on my local PC and it works too. After that I did some more
   searches and I’m quite sure that this plugin will not function properly when **
   two databases are located at different hosts**. (Please let me know if I get
   this wrong)
 * Anyway I solve this problem by moving my WordPress to cloud system and Boom!
   This plug-in save the day 🙂
