The lightbox is showing on top of all content EXCEPT for the menu.

I am using the Magazine Basic theme.

Anyone know how to bring the lightbox above that?

    Thanks in advance!

    Nevermind.

    Problem solved.

I am having this problem also. Can anyone help?

    Thanks

This probably has to do with the menu having a high z-index value in CSS.

You can try taking a look at the CSS code for the menu and any container div related to it (divs with ID like access, nav, navigation..) and make sure it doesn’t have a z-index higher than 300.

300 Is rather high, and is what the fancybox overlay uses to try to make sure it’s drawn on top of other elements of the page.

Thanks. That did it. I had checked the z-index, but had not looked hard enough. I found a superfish style drop-down container id with a z-index of 1000 and changed it to 290. Fixed. Thanks.

    HI. I have several issues.
    1) the video is in my sidebar floats over the enlarged image. I did find a posting about that and will try to figure out where that code goes. Hope that works for it looks terrible.

    2) My site is http://www.volunteeringinafricablog.com/foto-gallery/

SEe there how when you click on a picture it first goes to some other sort of page. Looks like a post page, but it can’t be. There are no post pages with these pictures on them. So it takes two moves to view any picture enlarged.

    3) There is no forward arrow visible nor can I click on the page to move forward. So I have to close and reopen each picture which has to be done twice. Heck.

    4) The frame around the pictures does not reflect my choice. It is sticking by the default it seems. Light gray. I want it to be black as in “FFFFFF”.

    Please advise.

Also, I am using a theme that I made in artisteer. Have not had any issues before and naturally would prefer to stick with my designed theme. Please help.

I just went into my widgets and changed the code as advised and there is no change. The video is still dominant on the page. I changed theme to twenty10 and some functions worked, but others didn’t. The opague page does not show in twenty 10. So in my theme and the suggested one there are issues. In neither one does the frame border color change from default. I so wish this would work. I really like how it is supposed to be.

    Hi MarikaZoll,

On number 2 above, With your photos going through two steps to show up enlarged, the first image on your home page has a link url of the Post URL rather than the File URL.

When you add your image gallery, Add Image>Gallery> Gallery Settings at bottom, I believe you need to have “Link thumbnails to” with “Image File” checked. I am guessing you inserted that gallery with Attachement Page. Try to update that setting for your gallery, or re-insert if you need to.

Not sure I follow number 3.

On number 4, #FFFFFF is white, not black. Black is #000000. What I see is a white border around the image on the second click with the lightbox, and then a black background. Looks good to me, not sure though what you want.

number 1 above, could not figure what you mean. I watched both videos and say no issue with it. Maybe it is a browser specific issue. What browser are you using or did you fix it.

Thanks! The trick with the z-index worked great. 🙂

I’m having the same issues. But the z-index is not fixing it. Please help! See below:
