 * I haven’t had any luck with this plugin redirecting my feeds. I’ve also tried
   the FeedSmith plugin without success. Has something in 2.8 or recent broken these
   plugins?

 * Same here, FeedSmith and the FD Feedburner Plugin do not work under WP 2.8.

 * there is a way to redirect feeds without a plugin but it involves htaccess, which
   I couldn’t find on my site and didn’t know what it was so I looked it up in the
   Glossary. The definition there might as well have been in Chinese or Hieroglyphics
   for the understandability to non-geeks.
