• Hi there, I have been tasked with producing a wordpress site for our small outdoor industry advocacy group. I am 57 years old and pretty much have not much of a clue about html, code or anything else in this realm and as such just about everything I read about any of the plugins is just a bit beyond my grasp of comprehension. So be gentle with me, as I am pretty much clueless.

I downloaded your program and added a sample document to the file group. I have a page named Media across the header of the site and I want to link it to your file program. I went to edit that particular page entitled “media” and posted the following in the html side of the page: [wp-publication-archive] and refreshed it. The media page has nothing on it, and I was hoping when I refreshed it there would be some sort of connection to your program. But there wasn’t- there only was the blank page with: “[wp-publication-archive]” typed on it (on the visual side of the page). What did I do wrong? How do I connect my Media heading to your program? (Simple steps and verbiage please).

Also, I noted that your program is designed for the downloading of documents/files, do you have any iterations where the user can first view the document before downloading it? Perhaps allow them to open the document to view it to ensure that is what they really want to download?

Also, I noted that using the search button at the top of the page, it brings up the appropriate category the files are found in, but is there a way that someone can browse all the categories and files, just in case they are not sure what they are looking for?

If you get me up and running I will be sure to donate to your account. From what I understand of your program, it may be exactly what I am looking for (with maybe minor iterations).

    Rick
