[Plugin: Floating Menu] Not working on vanilla install…

I have installed a brand new copy of wordpress, with only one active plugin – Floating Menu – and it doesn’t work.

The plugin is installed in a widget – and the test menu shows up in the sidebar instead of floating at the top of the page as it is supposed to.

I’ve been trying everything I can from the support page and FAQ. the theme is twentytwelve.

The weird thing is that if I’m logged in and go to ‘customize’ to preview – the widget/floating menu works fine – which suggests that jQuery is there and working
