 * Hey Everyone,
 * I was looking to have a few sites associated with each other and to do this I
   was hoping to implement it in a way that looks similar to [http://gawker.com/](http://gawker.com/).
   At the top of the page you can see a button with 3 lines and when you click it,
   it shows a bunch of different sites that are within the parent website. Anyone
   know of a way or a plugin that I could use to make this a possibility?
 * Also, I am unsure if I am aloud to link to an external site, but given that it
   is a safe site, maybe it isn’t an issue? If it is, I apologize.
 * Look forward to hearing any ideas you guys have.
 * Thanks

 * I have links to several other sites including my own in a Menu widget in my sidebar
   as well as some credits links (web thanks) in my footer, and I think the only
   issue there is a matter of respect by first being sure the other site owner or
   manager has no objection.

 * You can create a custom menu (Appearance->Menus) and add it to a sidebar widget.
   If you want the link to open in a new tab/window, then to go top right of Menus
   admin and click on “Screen Options” and then check “Link Target” and then close
   the “Screen Options” curtain Then you’ll have a check box so you can set a link
   to open in a new tab/window. Once you’ve saved your menu, you can add it to a
   widget area. (Appearance->Widgets)
 * For another options (I’ve not used it), but the old “Blog Roll” functionality
   was pulled out of WordPress as of 3.5, but you can get it back with the [Link Manager](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/link-manager/)
   plugin.
 * Really, I think the first way is the “WordPress way.”

 * Thank you both for the replies. However, I don’t necessarily just want the list
   to be visible but would rather like a button, when pressed, displays all the
   websites, similar to Gawker. Is it possible to add buttons like that in WordPress?

 * You might try taking a look at some of these:

 * I feel like CSS would definitely be the way to go but I am not familiar enough
   to mess around with coding. With that being said, in the mean time I will play
   around with it a bit and see if I can get something to work.
 * Thanks again everyone and please keep the suggestions coming!

 * Another suggestion would be some type of [accordion menu](http://wordpress.org/search/accordion+menu)
   plugin/widget.

 * Hmmm, will look into that now.
 * In the mean time I just wanted to re-iterate a little more on my Gawker-esque
   request. What I really like about it is of course one, it’s just a button and
   you can display every other site. Another big thing is how they have the website
   gravicon beside each link. I typically go for very simplified looks with my website
   and I find Gawker just looks very clean.
 * Hope this helps.

 * Those are called Hamburger Menus or Hamburger Style Menus, which makes it a bit
   difficult to search for. I think Genesis themes may have a mobile version. I
   really don’t know of any plugin that does this, which doesn’t mean there isn’t.
   You might also search for widgets and themes.
