# [Plugin: Formstack Online Forms] Warning… Not Free, Deceptive

 * Signup is not free, the account is not free.
 * From the Formstack webpage at [http://www.formstack.com/wordpress.html](http://www.formstack.com/wordpress.html)
 * > “All you need is a Formstack account and the plugin. Signup for free at Formstack”
 * Clicking the “Signup for free” link brings users to a page with 4 pricing options,
   costing up to $159/month. You have to pay to get the account; you need a paid
   account to download the plugin. Ergo: Not free.
 * I don’t trust a company that acts counter to its claims.
 * This is especially disconcerting since the company collects/stores each form 
   and all data submitted through the forms.

   to continue with one of the paid options, you are automatically set up with a
   free account that includes 3 free forms and 10 fields for each form. So we allow
   you to try one of our elevated packages for 14 days at no charge, and also give
   you a truly free account.

 * Sorry another note. I do see how it would be confusing and misleading to say “
   Sign up for a Free Formstack account.” I’ll get with our marketing team right
   now to make adjustments on that.
