 * I have a great plugin idea, which I’m about to do myself – but I doubt that I
   will be able to finish it by myself. If there is any coders out there, who wants
   to take a part of this, or just wants to hear a bit more of my idea, just drop
   me a mail 🙂

 * Try writing about it here. I’m sure you’ll get a better response than having
   people email you.

 * Ok, here goes:
 * **Database lists**
 * You open the dashboard, selects »database lists« from the menu, and now you come
   to a page where you can select to create, edit or add to a database. You choose
   create, and you are being redirected to another page, asking you what the database
   should be called, and what rows the database should have, and of which type.
 * You create the database, call it »Employees«, selects to create 4 rows, »Name«,»
   Position«, »Phonenumber« and »Picture«. Now you are forwarded to the Add-page,
   and you easily can Add several people to the »Employees« database.
 * Now you make a templatefile, defines how it all should be shown in the plugin-
   config and by template tags (Posts per page, sort by, search etc.).
 * Furthermore we can add capabilites of importing data from commaseperated textfiles,
   live from apps etc ..
 * With a plugin like this, you can make everything from product lists, adress books,
   to recipies etc.

 * Why not try [phpMyAdmin](http://www.phpmyadmin.net/)?

 * I think that’s essentially what he wants, just encapsulated in WordPress and
   making it look less intimidating.

 * I dont want that – if I need an address book, ill simply just do it.. I want
   to simplify the process, so that every WP user easily can create what he needs..

   A way of presenting massive much-alike data, a few row-types, like »picture«,»
   text«, »textarea« .. Tangora CMS has a module similar to this, and is a great
   success… So has Xaraya..

 * WordPress is just a blog system and not a CMS, so I can’t see why a user should
   be allowed to create databases tables or even start to modify WPs own tables.
   Just my 2 cent.

 * I dont see why WP’s own tables should be modified in any way.. And i dont see
   why WP users shouldnt be able to do this.. At least, if this plugin becomes reality,
   theres no need to write 10 plugins, for 10 different purposes, that can be handled
   with this …
 * Bloggers might enjoy sharing a memberlist etc, cant see why thats only for CMS’..
   Furthermore, I see WP more and more as a CMS and not a blogging app, but maybe
   thats just me?

 * Alot of plugins deviate from wordpress’s intended purpose and core functionality,
   that dosent make them bad plugins or not worth developing.
 * I think it is a great idea, especially for people who dont have PhpMyAdmin installed.
 * (just thought I would chip in)

 * I agree with mcshelby here.
 * Plus such a plugin already exists. I lost the name or url, but it basically encapsulates
   phpmyadmin in the wordpress panel.
    It’s on the codex…
