 * Hi there,
 * Thanks for the plugin it works as it should but the trouble is that it is slowing
   down our site. Here is the image from new relic: [https://prnt.sc/1btctdx](https://prnt.sc/1btctdx)
 * Speed is one of the top priorities for this site and your plugin adds significant
   time to TTFB.
 * Is there any setting we can utilize to help with performance? Also, we would
   be willing to go with the premium version if that gets us more dedicated support.
 * Thank you,

 * Hi,
 * Which method are you using? Only the “Responsive Images” method is fast, but
   it will only work perfectly if you theme and other plugins are “modern” enough(
   and if they are using the Responsive Images features brought by WordPress since
   3 years ago).

 * The other methods indeed impact the performance, but only the first time building
   the pages; if you are using a caching system (and I guess 99% of the sites in
   production use one), then there is no problem.

 * Thank you very much for your reply.
 * We are running Genesis on this site. I have just tried “Responsive Images” method
   and immediately I see spikes in New Relic. You can see it here: [https://prnt.sc/1qjs3nh](https://prnt.sc/1qjs3nh)
   and [https://prnt.sc/1qjs4mk](https://prnt.sc/1qjs4mk)
 * Is that some initial load when the plugin is re-enabled or that will last?
 * Thanks,

 * The plugin needs to analyze your page for Retina files, so that obviously takes
   a bit of time (even though that should be actually quite fast on a modern server).
   And it’s cached after that, so it’s really on the first load on one page 🙂
