I’ve used this plugin in the past with great success, but it’s failing for me in 3.3.1. I’ve tried it both with and without the custom meta fields I’d like to add. I get the red error message “No user was successfully imported, please check the error log.” However, the error log is empty.

Does it fail also when you try with the sample file?

Ah, I just tried again without editing the test import file, and it worked. I’ve tracked down the problem: Excel 2011 does not save quotation marks around the fields.

I’m trying to find a way around this, because there’s no way my users can edit a plain text CSV file, but I’m not finding any good solutions at the moment.

Maybe they could use LibreOffice/OpenOffice instead. 😉
