I’ve updated the plugin completely.
Tt’s working now.
Thanks for your feedback!
That’s great news!
I’ve started german translations and up to now we are at 50% for ‘Readme’ and 50% for the plugin itself.
Thank you!
By the way, German is at 100% now and it is not necessary anymore to ship the plugin with your own po/mo-files. WordPress will take translations from translate.ww.wp.xz.cn as soon as they are available (=more than 95% complete)
😉
Hello. Thanks!
I didn’t know that. It’s cool!
I translated to portuguese too including the readme. I think the introducing page would be translated too but its still in english. Is it common?
That’s true for the moment but probably not the final status; the plugin directory got a redesign some days ago. There is still work in progress. I guess (I hope) we see our translated descriptions in a few days.
The default plugin page is English, that’s correct and the URL is
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/file-renaming-on-upload/
My Browser shows a hint that your Plugin is available in German – linking to
https://de.ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/file-renaming-on-upload/
(which also shows english texts and not german)
So you maybe can see a hint that pt-BR is available – linking to
https://br.ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/file-renaming-on-upload/
(May depend on how your browser language is set and how the plugin directory detects your language/location …)
I see.
But that’s weird. I’ve made the translation of another plugin these days and the translated description worked without problems.
Take a look:
https://br.ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wish-list-for-woocommerce/
But i think it was before the redesign, so like you said i hope we see our translation soon too 🙂
Another question, do you work for WordPress?
I liked the answer 🙂
Take care
Good news: there’s a ticket for the issue with translation of readme not showing up on some plugins
https://meta.trac.ww.wp.xz.cn/ticket/2750
(see comment #2)
You might like this hint I just got from a german developer:
He said, they fixed it by “not creating a tag in SVN. So the stable tag does not point to an existing tag and the translations are displayed”.
Thanks to Robert! @nullbyte
Thank you!!
But how users will update without a new tag?
I have no idea about tagging and branching in Subversion.
Maybe we wait and see what Dominik @ocean90 will do with the ticket.
