 * I have, after some deliberation, decided that I really do not want to allow e-
mail subscriptions for my blog, and do not wish to send out further mails when
   new posts are made.
 * Now, I have disabled “Subscriptions” in Jetpack, but a few questions:
 * Does turning off subscriptions in the Jetpack settings mean Jetpack stops sending
e-mail to subscribers? If not, how can I purge the entire subscriber list? (Short
of disabling Jetpack altogether, which I would really like to keep for other
   reasons

 * Yes, disabling the Subscriptions module will stop Jetpack from sending further
emails. No further action is needed.

 * That’s could question. Does switching it back on again retain the old subscribers?
 * The reason I ask is that there are occasions when I want to publish a test page,
for example, but don’t want to send an email to all subscribers.

 * I would like to know this same question. What is the best way to not have an
email sent to subscribers only for a particular post you are publishing?

 * I cannot find any way to “disable” the “Subscriptions” component of Jetpack.
   Was this ability deprecated?
Or are you referring to simply unchecking the “
Follow Blog” box on the Discussions settings page? Will that effectively disable
   emailing new posts?
