ps: I found the info on FAQ
    http://www.mapsmarker.com/docs/how-to-add-a-marker-to-a-post-or-page/

Yet, is it because I am pon localhost?
When I insert such shortcode like [mapsmarker marker=”1″] on my page, it only renders a line with the name of the marker and icons for directions etc… no map!

    I am on WP 3.3.1

Well, adding a layer and inserting it solved the issue
    [mapsmarker layer=”1″]
Question of terms, or I just needed the week end to get clear mind!

thats great to hear! localhost installations sometimes cause troubles…

BTW: if you like using the plugin, I’d appreciate very much a donation and a vote for the plugin on ww.wp.xz.cn 😉

Yet, >I would suggest you put somewhere the stupid simple instructions for those who are like me not so waken up, and would get it fast without browsing extensive documentation:
    1> create a layer
2> add markers to your layer
3> insert your map onto your page with shoirtcode [mapsmarker layer=”1″]

    see http://mapsmarker.com/docs for tutorials 😉
