# [Plugin: MaxButtons: CSS3 Button Generator for WordPress] modifying button url in shortcode does not

 * I created a button and have been trying to modify the link in the shortcode to
   reuse the button style but it doesn’t work.
 * As an example when I place this shortcode:
 * `[maxbutton id="3" url=”http://google.com”]`
 * The button shows up fine, but the link doesn’t go directly to google. It instead
   goes to something like this:
 * [http://www.mysite.com/2012/01/14/blue/”http:/google.com&#8221](http://www.mysite.com/2012/01/14/blue/”http:/google.com&#8221);
 * I can’t figure out what the problem is. Any help for this newbie would be great.

 * So I got it to work. Should have thought of this first.
 * I just went back and deleted the url I originally typed in when I first made 
   the button and just left it blank.
