# [Plugin: Members List Plugin] Javascript Error

 * The issue that I’m having is with WP 2.9.2 and a theme called WhiteHousePro. 
   The javascript error only appears to happen on the front page. The error, however,
   disables some functionality of the theme.
 * Here’s the error:
 * Message: Object doesn’t support this property or method
    Line: 19 Char: 2 Code:
   0 URI: [http://bnyoungprofessionals.org/wp-content/plugins/members-list/tern_wp_members.js?ver=2.9.2](http://bnyoungprofessionals.org/wp-content/plugins/members-list/tern_wp_members.js?ver=2.9.2)
 * Which is this line: 19 $(‘#query’).bind(‘focus’,function (){.
 * Again, this error doesn’t appear on any other pages. The plugin appears to work
   just fine.

 * Please let me know if you have any ideas. I love the plugin and I cannot find
   a decent enough alternative. However, the error is disabling a feature of the
   website that would be quite useful.

 * luchtcm,
 * I would suggest opening the javascript file and changing all the ‘$’ to ‘jQuery’.
   That should resolve your issue.

 * I was experiencing the same problem, and changing the $ to jQuery fixed the script
   error for me. Thanks!
