 * Maybe I am missing a basic use of the up loader.
 * Is there anyway to upload multiple slides/photos to use in Meteor Slides?
 * It just seems laborious to upload photos one at a time.

 * Yes, you can select and upload multiple images at once with the [Flash media uploader](http://codex.wordpress.org/Media_Add_New_SubPanel#Flash_Uploader).
   Once they are all in your media library, you can set them as the featured images
   of different slides as you create them.

 * Thanks for the speedy response. (I have noticed how active you are here . . .
   really setting an example for and putting to shame other programmers/authors).
 * I have uploaded multiple jpg previously for other uses . . .
 * i will attempt to set each as “featured.”
 * I don’t know why these slide shows are so hard for me to figure out. I have tried
   at least ten other plug-ins . . and I just don’t have the intuition to grasp
   many of the concepts. And they all use different techniques.
 * And I am not a novice. . . been doing HTML and other stuff for twenty years or
   more . . .
 * Okay . . enough of this rambling on.
 * Oh . . and thanks for the demo videos.

 * No problem, hopefully I’m setting a _good_ example 🙂
 * Yeah it is very wild west, every plugin is different! My goal with Meteor Slides
   is to make it feel like a built in part of WordPress and be as easy to use as
   Posts or Pages. But it is possibly more handy for a smaller amount of slides
   since each must be created separately.
 * I hope the videos were helpful for you, i need to record some more screencasts
   that go into more detail on the newer features.

 * Yes . . I find the screencasts are the best way to show what would take hundreds
   of words to describe.
 * This should be amusing.
 * [Here](http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/watch/c6XhY56Zw) is me, the Meteor novice
   stumbling my way, in an attempt to up load multiple slides.

 * You’re on the right track, the screencast helps. Yes, you only need to add the
   slideshow name, the slug will be generated from the name.
 * For the slides, you can upload multiple slide _images_ at once like you did with
   the media uploader. But each _slide_ must be added separately as a slide post
   using **Slides -> Add New**.
 * So when you are click the **Use as featured image** link in the gallery or media
   uploader, each time you click it you are replacing the slide’s image, not adding
   another one.
 * You have to go to **Slides -> Add New**, give it a title, click **Set featured
   image**, upload an image or choose an image, click **Use as featured image**,
   then close the media uploader, publish or save the slide and then go to **Slides-
   > Add New** to add another slide.
 * So although you can mass upload the slide images, each slide must be created
   separately, does that make sense?
 * This method works well for small slideshows like where the slides are used as
   banners to highlight certain areas of your site, but it could be cumbersome when
   adding lots of photos, such as a photo gallery.
 * It looks like you have not set a height or width for your slideshow. You should
   [set these on your settings page](http://www.jleuze.com/plugins/meteor-slides/installation/).
   This will enable WordPress to automatically size the slide image correctly for
   you and size the slideshow so that the nav lays out better on the page.

 * By gosh I think I have it. [Watch](http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/watch/c6X1FA6T3)
 * Can I rely on the actual size of the photo . . . and not mess with size parameters
   in the script?
 * I noticed I have to use the slug name NOT the slide show name to point to a specific
   slide show collection.
 * Thanks.

 * Cool, it looks like you got it figured out! Yeah, the slideshow’s _slug_ is used
   to specify a slideshow instead of loading all the slides.
 * The slide dimensions in the settings aren’t used just for sizing the images,
   but for sizing various CSS and JavaScript elements of the slideshow so for it
   to work properly the dimensions must be set.
