 * Dear Josh,
 * I have just downloaded your plugin, and created a slide show. But I can seem
   to find a way to incorporate it into a post. Can you please help?
 * Also, I tried to use the slide show as a widget, but whatever I do to customize
   the size of the images, they always stay the same as the initial setting (I think
   it was 200×900 which is a weird crop to most of my images). I changed the dimensions
   in the setting page but it doesn’t seem to have an effect of the result.
 * I’d appreciate your help!
 * All my best,
    Naomi

 * Hi Naomi, you said you want to incorporate it into a post, do you want the slideshow
   in the post content? For that you want to use the shortcode instead of the widget.
 * Did you upload the slide images before setting the current slideshow dimensions?
   The slides are cropped when they are uploaded, so if you change the size, you
   have to re-upload the images to re-size them.

 * Thanks for your note. After reading it I deleted all the slides and uploaded
   the photos again, this time setting the size first to 3000×3000, then again to
   10,000×10,000 but although the images weren’t cropped this time, they were tiny…
   a size that would fit a widget, not a full-blown post.
 * All of the original photos that I’ve uploaded were between 1-8MB in size, and
   when uploading them I set it up to be full-size, so I don’t think this wasn’t
   the problem.
 * Anything else I can do..?
 * Thanks!

 * You don’t need to delete the slides, just remove the featured image on the slide
   posts, set a new featured image, and upload the slide image rather than grabbing
   it from your media library.
 * There are some extra options when you upload the images to chose the alignment
   or the image size, but those are for blog posts and don’t effect featured images,
   when you set an image as the featured image it is sized based on the dimensions
   in the settings.
 * Can you post a link so I can see exactly what the results you’re getting are?

 * Thanks. I deleted the slides because I don’t want it to take space if I’m not
   using it. SInce I need to upload it again I’d rather not have double images in
   my library. Does that make sense?
 * I don’t understand what’s the difference between blog posts and featured images(
   you make that distinction in your second paragraph). I used ‘featured image’
   for all the slides.
 * Anyhow, yes, here’s a link:

 * The slide posts and slide images are separate pieces of content. The slide images
   are stored in your media library and if you delete the slide posts, the slide
   images are still in your library. Same with the images, if you delete a slide
   image, you still have a slide post without a slide image.
 * So if you want to get rid of the extra copies of the images, you can delete them
   from your media library and upload a new one, you don’t have to delete the whole
   slide post and recreate it.
 * What I meant by the blog posts, is that when you set a featured image, the media
   library gives you extra options for the images, like alignment and size, those
   don’t effect the featured images that you set as your slide image. That is really
   a functionality issue with WordPress, those shouldn’t be there. If you choose
   a different size like medium and click “use as featured image”, it doesn’t use
   a medium image, it uses an image that is the size you set in the slideshow dimensions,
   10000x10000px.
 * The slideshow is shrinking because it is way too large to fit on your website,
   so it scales to fit. You shouldn’t use full sized print resolution images. The
   theme you are using has a fluid width, but the content area is never wider than
   463px, so you should set your slideshow dimensions to match that, maybe 463x352px.
 * And the slide images should be sized and cropped in an image editor to fit those
   dimensions before you upload them to get the highest quality results.
