 * Hi there, I hope you can help.
 * Yesterday I performed a manual WordPress update on a site I’m running. When I
visited the plugins page afterwards, I received a message to say that Events
Manager had been deactivated because the .php file was missing (unfortunately
I can’t remember exactly what it said). It’s not deactivated in my list of plugins–
   it’s been removed entirely.
 * I have just tried to reinstall the plugin, which failed because ‘the destination
   folder already exists’.
 * Having searched the forum briefly, I wonder it this is because the Events Manager
version (probably) wasn’t up to date, before the manual WordPress update.
 * How can I restore the plugin, hopefully with all its settings and event content?
I performed a manual backup just before the update, so I’m hoping this will help.
   Thank you.

 * Try removing the Events manager folder from the plug-ins folder via FTP…then
try installing the plugin again via the UI.

 * Hi otaviof, thank you for taking the time to reply.
 * If I do this, will I be able to recover my previous Events Manager settings and
   event content?

 * The settings, events, locations, etc, are stored in the database so I would assume
you’ll be fine. Everything will be set as you had it before. But ideally, you’d
want to back up files and DB before upgrades.

 * Excellent – I had no idea it would be this simple, but removing the folder and
reinstalling Events Manager has worked a treat.
 * Thank you so much again – I appreciate it!
